LeBron James signs a 2-year max extension to remain with Lakers. The deal is for $104 million, and it includes a player option and a no-trade clause. This comes after the Lakers selected his son Bronny James with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. It was rumored that LeBron was holding out to possibly take less money for Klay Thompson to sign with the team. Klay Thompson eventually signed a 3-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks for less money.
