We started things off with the AFC East predictions yesterday. The NFC East is the focus for today and see how things will shape up. The NFC East hasn’t had a repeat winner in about 20 years now. The Dallas Cowboys will try to end that drought after winning the division a year ago. The Philadelphia Eagles will try to rebound from their horrendous second half of the season. The New York Giants are looking to build towards competing with Daniel Jones at quarterback. Washington brought in a new coaching staff while drafting their quarterback of the future. Will Dallas repeat as the NFC East champion? Can the Eagles reclaim the throne of the division? Can Washington or New York make a push at the NFC East crown? Check out Trav’s 2024 NFC East predictions below.

Trav’s 2024 NFC East PredictionsThe biggest news surrounding the Cowboys is the lack of aggression. Dallas didn’t make any major moves during the free agency period. They lost quite a few players to other teams and Dan Quinn became the coach of the Washington Commanders. The contract extension for Dak Prescott has been the talk around the league. With Dak entering the final year of his deal, will the Cowboys extend him? Jordan Love and Tua Tagovailoa just signed new deals recently. Dak will reset the market when he signs a new deal whether it’s with Dallas or another team. CeeDee Lamb is holding out due to him not getting a new deal. The wide receiver market has been reset and Lamb will command big money. If that’s not enough, the potential deal for Micah Parsons is looming and could become an issue. These could be issues moving forward this season.

Trav’s 2024 NFC East PredictionsThe New York Giants are hoping to rebound from a disastrous season a year ago. Daniel Jones went down earlier in the season with a torn ACL. New York had one of the better defenses in the league a season ago. They are looking to continue that trend and they did so by adding Brian Burns. Brian Burns is one of the best outside linebackers in the league. Unfortunately, they lost Saquon Barkley to the rival Eagles and that will hurt them moving forward. The Giants did bring in Devin Singletary to replace Barkley as he’s a tougher runner. The Giants also addressed their offensive line, which has been one of the worst in the past couple of seasons. If the offense can improve, New York has a shot at making the playoffs this season. They will be in a mix for the NFC East crown but won’t win it.

Trav’s 2024 NFC East PredictionsPhiladelphia had that historic collapse last season after starting the year at 10-1. The Eagles went out and made the proper changes to get better. They brought in Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio as the new offensive and defensive coordinators. On offense, they locked up A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith for the foreseeable future with extensions. They signed Saquon Barkley to a 3-year deal to join the rival Eagles. Unfortunately, one of the best centers in the game, Jason Kelce retired. One of the anchors on the defense Flecher Cox also called it quits in the offseason. Philadelphia still has one of the best defensive lines in the league led by Jalen Carter. Philly also addressed the secondary by drafting the two top CBs in Cooper DeJean and Quentin Mitchell. They also brought back C.J. Gardner-Johnson after it showed he was missed in the secondary.

Trav’s 2024 NFC East PredictionsThe Washington Commanders have done a complete overhaul as a team this offseason. First, they hired Dan Quinn as their new head coach away from the Dallas Cowboys. Quinn brought a lot of help with him in Dorance Armstrong from Dallas. They continued to build up the defensive line, which is one of the best despite no longer having Chase Young and Jonathan Allen. On defense, they continued to add veteran leadership by signing Bobby Wagner. After drafting and signing Jayden Daniels, they brought in help to protect the rookie signal caller. Tyler Biadasz and Nick Allegretti will help anchor the offensive line. Washington also signed the dynamic Austin Ekeler to add depth in the backfield. If healthy, this could be huge for the Commanders this season. It all depends on the play of Jayden Daniels this season as to how far they’ll go in the NFC East.
