Christian McCaffrey has suffered another injury, and it could keep him out the remainder of the season. Christian McCaffrey suffered what is believed to be an injury to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Coach Kyle Shanahan says he thinks it’s potentially a season ending injury. The Niners were blown out in Buffalo by the Bills 35-10. Christian McCaffrey is slated to get further testing today. San Francisco has five remaining games this season. McCaffrey had seven carries for 53 yards and two receptions for 14 yards. That included season-best rushes of 19 and 18 yards. Sunday night was just McCaffrey’s fourth game since returning from the bilateral Achilles tendinitis that kept him out for most of training camp and all of San Francisco’s first eight games. McCaffrey had a record breaking season a year ago.
McCaffrey was the major reason the Niners advanced to the Super Bowl last season. McCaffrey is on the cover of Madden 25 and he also signed an extension with San Francisco.
