The Conference Championship weekend is completed and now it’s playoff season. In a high scoring Big Ten championship, the Oregon Ducks defeated Penn State to finish the season unbeaten. Oregon will be the top seed in the playoffs and have a first-round bye. The SEC Championship was a defensive battle as the Bulldogs beat the Longhorns 22-19 in OT. Georgia is the second seed in the playoffs and will Carson Beck play? Clemson beat SMU with a 56-yard field goal as time expired to win the ACC Championship. Clemson needed the win to get into the playoff seeing they lost three games this season. Arizona State blew out Iowa State to take home the Big 12 Championship. The Sun Devils have been one of the hottest teams in the country for over a month. On Friday, Boise State took down UNLV to take the Mountain West Championship.

Ashton Jeanty had another amazing game by rushing for over 200 yards and getting closer to Barry Sanders rushing record. The new rankings have Oregon, Georgia, Boise State, and Arizona State as the top four seeds and they all have byes. In the 5th versus 12th seed game, we have the Texas Longhorns hosting the Clemson Tigers. In the 6th versus 11th seed, the Penn State Nittany Lions will host the SMU Mustangs. In the 7 versus 10 game, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face the Indiana Hoosiers. In the final game, the 8th seed Ohio State Buckeyes will host the 9th seed Tennessee Volunteers. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Miami Hurricanes were the final two teams left out. Below are the final rankings and matchups.
