The Las Vegas Bowl will be played the day before. The Pop-Tarts Bowl will see the Iowa State Cyclones battling the Miami Hurricanes. Iowa State was one of the last teams to suffer a defeat this season. The Cyclones started the season with a 7-0 record and top 10 ranking. They lost two in a row and won the last three games to advance to the Big 12 championship game.  They were blown out by Arizona State in the championship game. Miami won their first nine games of the season and were ranked in the top 5. They dropped two of their final three games. The loss to Syracuse in the season finale knocked them out of the ACC title game. Cam Ward could be the top pick in this upcoming draft and a Heisman Finalist. Can they cap off one of their best seasons in recent years?

Iowa State had a bad showing in the Big 12 Championship against Arizona State. The Sun Devils ran at will throughout the game against Iowa State. This could be troubling because Miami has a pair of bruising running backs. On the flipside, the Cyclones offense could give the Miami defense issues. Can Iowa State finish the season with a big win over Miami? For Miami, you would think a lot of players would opt out of this game, but that’s not the case. The Hurricanes were eyeing a national championship, but losing to Georgia Tech and Syracuse derailed them. Miami ranked 1^st in scoring and had one of the best passing offenses in the country. Cam Ward gets a lot of attention and deservedly so, but the run game will be the key. The Hurricanes and the run game will lead them to the win. Hurricanes Win 34-24
