Super Bowl LIX is set, and it’ll be a rematch from Super Bowl LVII. The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Two years ago, the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 in an epic matchup. In the AFC Championship game, the Chiefs took down the Bills 32-29. With the win, Kansas City aims to become the first team ever to 3-peat. The Chiefs are the ninth NFL team to win back-to-back Super Bowl championships but the first to return for a third consecutive season. Harrison Butker connected on a 35-yard field goal with 3:33 remaining to break the tie. The Chiefs then had to hold off the Bills by forcing Josh Allen to throw an incomplete pass on fourth down near midfield with two minutes remaining.

The win was the 17th of Mahomes’ playoff career, breaking a tie with Joe Montana and putting him in second place among quarterbacks. Tom Brady leads the pack with 35 career playoff wins. In the NFC Championship game, the Eagles dismantled the Commanders 55-23. Jalen Hurts totaled 262 yards and four touchdowns to lead Philadelphia. Saquon Barkley got the offense rolling with a 60-yard touchdown run on the first offensive play. Barkley finished with 118 yards on the ground on 15 carries. Barkley was named one of the five finalist for the NFL MVP award. Hurts finished 22-of-28 with one touchdown pass and no interceptions for a quarterback rating of 110.1 and ran for three scores.

Hurts and Barkley became the first teammates to have at least three rushing touchdowns in a playoff game in NFL history. The Eagles won the turnover battle 4-0 against Washington and have 10 takeaways and zero giveaways through three games this postseason. Philadelphia will try to win their second Super Bowl in seven years.
