Super Bowl LIX is over, and the Eagles blew out the Chiefs to take home the Lombardi Trophy. One of the biggest newsworthy stories is the future of Deebo Samuel. Deebo Samuel will be playing somewhere else in 2025. The 49ers are letting the veteran receiver seek a trade partner. Deebo Samuel is one of the more explosive players in the league. In 2024, Samuel had a disappointing season by his standards. Samuel averaged a career low of 45 receiving yards per game. He also averaged less than four receptions per game, which was his lowest since his rookie season. Whoever trades for Samuel, they will get a dynamic threat on offense. Below are 7 potential landing spots for Deebo Samuel.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers need a dynamic presence on offense. The defense is still one of the better ones in the league. Pittsburgh must figure out their quarterback situation moving forward. It has been said that Russell Wilson won’t be brought back. Justin Fields will be a free agent, but it feels like he won’t return either. Will they make a run at one of the many free agent quarterbacks during the offseason? Either way, Deebo Samuel would be a great pickup for this team.

2. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has a lot of talented, young receivers on their roster. They could use a vet like Deebo Samuel that would open the offense more. Jordan Love would benefit greatly from having a veteran with Super Bowl experience. Josh Jacobs is already one of the best running backs in the league and adding Samuel would be perfect.

3. Miami Dolphins

Pairing Samuel with Tyreek Hill would create one of the most formidable wide receiver duos in the league. When you include Jalen Waddle, this would be the best trio receiving trio in the league. Miami’s innovative offensive schemes could utilize Samuel’s talents to their fullest. Miami probably wouldn’t have the cap space, but the thought is exciting.

4. New England Patriots

New England has always valued versatile players. Samuel’s ability to run, catch, and even return kicks would make him an asset in the Patriots’ offense. New England will have a lot of cap space and will make a lot of moves. Drake Maye showed a lot of promise and will need a veteran receiver or two. Samuel can provide safety valve for the young quarterback. Would Samuel consider the Patriots as his next destination?

5. Kansas City Chiefs

Even with a recent Super Bowl loss, adding Samuel to an already potent offense led by Patrick Mahomes would be a frightening prospect for any defense. His playmaking ability would mesh well with Andy Reid’s creative play designs. DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, and Juju Smith-Schuster most likely won’t return next season. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy will be the top two receivers and Samuel could add that veteran presence.

6. Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert would benefit greatly from having a player like Samuel. His presence would help stretch the field and open opportunities for other playmakers on the Chargers’ roster. Ladd McConkey had an amazing rookie season for the Chargers. Herbert could use a veteran receiver and Deebo Samuel would be a perfect fit. Samuel is already playing on the west coast, so this would be great also.

7. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills is already one of the Super Bowl favorites for next season. The Bills came up short in dethroning the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. Buffalo could use another playmaking receiver. Amari Cooper most likely will not be brought back for next season. Keon Coleman could also learn a lot from someone like Samuel. Could the Bills make a move for Samuel or another receiver that’ll be available?
