The Super Bowl was a month ago and we know the NFL offseason is always must-see TV. We’ve had a couple of players franchise tagged and some big names released. The Super Bowl champion Eagles have already given extensions to Saquon Barkley and Zach Baun. Baun was about to hit free agency and would have had teams knocking down his door. Deebo Samuel was traded to Washington after asking to be traded. DK Metcalf is the latest receiver looking to be moved and receive a pay upgrade. DK Metcalf is one of the better receivers in the league right now. Seattle’s receiving core will look different next season after the release of Tyler Lockett. DK Metcalf will have a lot of suitors and below are 5 potential landing spots for DK Metcalf.

New England Patriots

Mike Vrabel will want to make a splash immediately next season. There was a rumor that Vrabel would love to reunite and trade for A.J. Brown. He coached Brown in Tennessee and was upset about the Titans trading Brown to the Eagles. The Patriots already have their quarterback of the future in Drake Maye. New England does have the cap space to give DK Metcalf the money he will command. The Patriots have Joe Milton, and he’s considered to be a future starting quarterback. Could the Patriots use Milton as part of a trade with Seattle? New England will try to get a receiver this offseason whether it’s a Tee Higgins or Chris Godwin.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers would be my second team as potential landing spots for DK Metcalf. Ladd McConkey is their best receiver, and he does it in the slot position. Josh Palmer will most likely not return to the Chargers next season. They are still waiting for Quentin Johnston to have a breakout season. DK Metcalf will be a perfect fit for this team. Justin Herbert is considered one of the better QBs in the league, but his playoff performances haven’t been great. The addition of DK Metcalf will boost the confidence of Justin Herbert. Just like the Patriots, we know the Chargers will look to upgrade their wide receiver position this offseason.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas is in a similar situation to the New England Patriots. They have a long way to go to become a contender. The Raiders will look to spend money this offseason. They have already started by signing Maxx Crosby to a massive 3-year extension. Las Vegas will need a new quarterback after rumors they will cut Gardner Minshew. Pete Carroll is the new coach of the Las Vegas Raiders and guess who drafted Metcalf. Pete Carroll was the coach of the Seahawks when they drafted him. Would Metcalf love a reunion with Pete Carroll? While the Raiders still need a legit QB, they already have a generational tight end in Brock Bowers.

Pittsburgh Steelers

My fourth team will be the Pittsburgh Steelers. Anytime there’s a focus on a wide receiver, the Steelers will be on the list. Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin have been transparent about the team’s needs outside of George Pickens. The Steelers are still scrambling this offseason to figure out the quarterback situation. Will the Steelers bring Justin Fields or Russell Wilson back? It doesn’t matter who’s your quarterback is, DK Metcalf makes them better. If the Steelers can improve their offense it’ll help their defense in the long run. Pittsburgh is a great landing spot for DK Metcalf.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are my fifth and final team for potential landing spots for DK Metcalf. There is no team better set up to be aggressive than the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay was one of my top 5 NFC teams entering the season last year. The Packers could have north of $60 million in cap space to operate with. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs have flashed immensely in their young careers, but both have struggled with consistency. Green Bay was aggressive last season when they signed Josh Jacobs in free agency. Jordan Love would greatly benefit by having one of the top receivers in the league in DK Metcalf. Green Bay could put together a package to ship one or a couple of their young receivers to Seattle.

What do you think about DK Metcalf requesting a trade? Where would you like him to land? Where do you think he will play next season? Leave some feedback below about anything related to DK Metcalf and his trade request.
