The NBA playoffs are continuing and we’re close to having our Eastern and Western Conference Finals matchups. In the Eastern Conference, the Pacers and Knicks are up 3-1 against Cleveland and Boston. Indiana has an opportunity to finish the Cavs tonight in Cleveland. Donovan Mitchell is a game-time decision after re-aggravating an ankle injury. New York will have an opportunity to finish off the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday. Jayson Tatum was carried off in Game 4 with a right leg injury. The Western Conference has the Minnesota and Golden State series being 3-1 with the Timberwolves leading. Minnesota has a chance to close out the Warriors on Wednesday at home and Steph is expected to miss the game. The Oklahoma City and Denver series is tied at 2 with Game 5 tonight in Oklahoma City. The Thunder and Nuggets series feel like it’ll go seven games.

With all of that going on, Giannis Antetokounmpo has stated he’s open to being moved by the Bucks. Giannis still does have three years and around $170+ million dollars remaining on his deal. The Bucks are in a terrible situation and Dam Lillard will most likely miss this upcoming season with his Achilles injury. Will Giannis request a trade during the offseason? If so, where are some potential destinations for the former 2-time league MVP. Below are 5 potential destinations for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have built an impressive roster over the last year and half. They finished second in the tough Western Conference this past season. Unfortunately, they fell to the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs in seven games. Houston could be in the running for Kevin Durant. Giannis is the better option of the two at this point of their careers. Houston has draft capital along with players like Jalen Green and Jabari Smith they could trade. Amen Thompson would be someone the Bucks would want, but the Rockets will most likely not trade him.

San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio is another destination for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Spurs have a couple of lottery picks in the upcoming NBA Draft. Wemby missed the final portion of the season with a blood clout in his shoulder. San Antonio would love to build around Victor Wembanyama. The pairing of Wemby and Giannis would be an interesting one. The Spurs have some future draft picks and great, young pieces Milwaukee would love. Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and Jeremy Sochan along with picks would be enticing.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the youngest team in the league. The Thunder also had the best record in the league this past season. They are locked in a competitive series with the Denver Nuggets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is most likely to be the league MVP. Oklahoma City has draft capital to play with. They also have some great talent at their disposal. For Giannis, the Thunder could offer the likes of Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Jaylin Williams could interest the Bucks. Would Milwaukee listen to an offer from the Thunder?

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavalier is next of my list of potential destinations for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Cavs finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently down three games to one in their series against Indiana. If the Cavs don’t at least make it to the NBA Finals, there will be changes. The Cavs have some assets along with draft capital also. They have some future 1st round draft picks. They could also covet the likes of a Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen also. Garland could be their point guard for the future due to the uncertainty of Damian Lillard.

Atlanta Hawks

My fifth and final potential destination for Giannis Antetokounmpo is the Atlanta Hawks. For me, this is more of wishful thinking seeing that I’m an Atlanta Hawks fan. The potential of playing alongside a point guard like Trae Young could be enticing for Giannis. The Hawks will be looking to make some moves and Giannis could be it. Atlanta could package pieces like Jalen Johnson and a couple of their young players in a package. If Atlanta were to make a move, they would likely need a third team.

Where are some potential destinations for Giannis Antetokounmpo? Where would you like to see Giannis play next season? Could he remain in Milwaukee? Leave some feedback below regarding the potential destinations for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
