The Indiana Pacers have advanced to the NBA Finals. Indiana defeated the New York Knicks to advance to the NBA Finals. The Pacers beat the Knicks 125-108 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Indiana will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, who routed Minnesota in Game 5 to win their series. Indiana haven’t reached the NBA Finals since the year of 2000 when they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pacers defeated the Knicks 4-2 in the conference finals, capped off with a 125-108 victory in Game 6, as Indiana secured its first trip to the Finals since 2000. Pascal Siakam won the Larry Bird Trophy as Eastern Conference finals MVP after finishing with 31 points. Siakam narrowly defeated Tyrese Haliburton in voting. Haliburton finished with 21 points, 13 assists and 6 rebounds in the Game 6 clincher.

Indiana reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season but was swept by the eventual champion Boston Celtics. The Pacers had an improbable run to the NBA Finals. In the first round, they took out the Milwaukee Bucks in five games. In the second round, they upset the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in five games also. Oklahoma City is already a heavy favorite ahead of the NBA Finals.
