We have the AFC East out of the way, and now we turn to the AFC North. Baltimore has been the top team in the division for the last few seasons. They are one of the favorites to reach the Super Bow,l and they’re my top team in the AFC. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry will enter their second season as a tandem. The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to start the season better than they have in the last few seasons. Cincinnati is expected to have one of, if not the best, offenses in the league. Pittsburgh brought in Aaron Rodgers with the hopes of turning back time. Can the Steelers put it all together and make a run in the AFC North? The Cleveland Browns begin the season with Joe Flacco at quarterback, and they’re hoping he can turn back the clock. Who wins the AFC North this season?

Baltimore Ravens

As mentioned before, the Baltimore Ravens are my top team in the AFC and should win the AFC North. Lamar Jackson continues to be the best quarterback in the league after another MVP-like season. Derrick Henry isn’t showing any signs of slowing down after his amazing first season in Baltimore. It feels like the Ravens are primed to finally make a Super Bowl run with Lamar Jackson. They signed DeAndre Hopkins to add a veteran presence on the offense. The defense should have another season as one of the best in the league. They rewarded Kyle Hamilton with a huge extension and making him the highest-paid safety. The addition of Chidobe Awuzie in the secondary will add depth to an already impressive group. If healthy, don’t be surprised by this team winning the AFC North and making a Super Bowl appearance.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati is projected to finish second in the AFC North. The issue with the Bengals has been them getting off to slow starts. Cincinnati begins the season with a pair of winning games against Cleveland and Jacksonville. After those games, they travel to Minnesota and Denver, which are a couple of tough games. The Bengals were able to keep both of their top receivers in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. They both signed deals worth over $100 million. Chase Brown should be one of the better running backs heading into his third season. The defense will be the big question mark for this team. After holding out all camp and potentially being traded, Trey Hendrickson got a huge raise on a one-year deal. The Bengals drafted a lot of young guys on defense, and they will need to play a huge part on this team.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers come in 3rd in the AFC North. The Steelers revamped their roster on both sides of the ball. The big news addition was bringing in Aaron Rodgers to be their new quarterback. Pittsburgh is hoping Rodgers can turn back the clock and lead this team into the playoffs. The Steelers were able to trade and sign DK Metcalf to a huge extension. They also added Jonnu Smith in a trade with Miami that also brought in Jalen Ramsey. They also signed veteran Darius Slay to pair him with Ramsey at the cornerback position. Pittsburgh got Ramsey and Smith but sent Minkah Fitzpatrick back to Miami in the deal. T.J. Watt signed a four-year contract, and he’ll likely finish his career in Pittsburgh. I’m predicting Pittsburgh to finish third, but wouldn’t be surprised if they’re behind Baltimore in the AFC North.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns is my pick to finish at the bottom of the NFC North. There are so many uncertainties when it comes to this team. They will turn to 40-year-old Joe Flacco to be their starting quarterback. They no longer have Nick Chubb in the backfield, but drafted Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State. They also drafted Dylan Sampson out of Tennessee to revamp their running back position with veteran Jerome Ford. The offense has an opportunity to be good if they can protect Flacco. On defense, they did give their former DPOY Myles Garrett an extension. The Browns defense is as physical as they come. They also drafted Mason Taylor and Carson Schwesinger to beef things up on the defensive side of the ball. The Browns are projected at the bottom of the AFC North, but they could surprise some people.
