Week 9 is in the books, and we are now officially starting the second half of the season. With their overtime win in Tampa on Monday Night, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the only undefeated team. The NFL trade deadline has come and gone with a couple of contenders making moves. Detroit traded for Za’Darius Smith with Aiden Hutchinson suffering his horrific injury. The Washington Commanders are going for it all by trading for Marshon Lattimore. Pittsburgh added a much needed receiver by bringing in Mike Williams from the New York Jets. The other big news in the NFL is the hamstring injury Dak Prescott is suffering from and will put him on IR. The Cowboys season continues to get worse, but they will get Micah Parsons back for their matchup against Philadelphia. My Week 9 picks garnered a 7-1 record, and my overall mark is now 56-33.

The winning percentage rises from 60.5% to 62.9%. The only defeat was me picking the Bears to beat the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona blew out Chicago and after winning their third consecutive game they sit atop the NFC West. This week I’ll be selecting a total of seven games. Check out Trav’s Week 10 NFL picks below.

We have an AFC North battle to kick things off on Thursday Night. The Cincinnati Bengals will head to Baltimore to face the Ravens. Cincinnati is hoping the second half of the season is better than the first. Cincinnati followed their blowout loss to Philly with a beatdown of the Las Vegas Raiders. Zach Moss injured his neck and will miss the rest of the season. The Bengals traded for Khalil Herbert, and this is a move I’m liking. Baltimore rebounded from their loss to Cleveland by blowing out the Denver Broncos. The Ravens already brought in Diontae Johnson to boost the receiving core before the trade deadline. Baltimore also traded for Tre’Davious White to help in the secondary. White is a former Pro-Bowler, but how much does he have after suffering a couple injuries? I’m going with the Ravens to win at home. Baltimore Win 31-27

We stay in the AFC as the Buffalo Bills head to Indianapolis to face off with the Colts. Buffalo is starting to hit their stride after winning four games in a row. Josh Allen is one of the favorites to win league MVP thus far. Allen has toned down his turnovers and the offense is fourth in scoring. The defense ranks in the top 10 in scoring, and they hold a comfortable lead in the AFC North. Indianapolis have dropped two in a row, and they are still going with Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback. The offense struggled in their loss in Minnesota last week. The Colts start the second half of the season two games behind the Texans in the AFC South. I’m going with them to drop their third in a row as the Bills leave with the victory. Buffalo Win 24-20

We head to the AFC West as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos. The Broncos had their two game winning streak snapped last week at the hands of Baltimore. They travel to the only team and two-time defending Super Bowl champions. Despite giving up 41 points to the Ravens, the Broncos defense is still third in scoring. Bo Nix has been one of the best rookies in the league this season. Can he lead them to the upset of the Chiefs? The acquisition of DeAndre Hopkins paid off this past Monday. Hopkins finished with 8 catches for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Chiefs defense will get after and frustrated Bo Nix throughout the game. Patrick Mahomes is starting to find his groove in the process. I’m riding with the Chiefs to remain unbeaten. Kansas City Win 27-17

The San Francisco 49ers will make the long trip to Tampa to face the Buccaneers. The Niners are coming off their bye week with some good news. Christian McCaffrey is back practicing and could play in this game. McCaffrey hasn’t played the entire season, and he would provide a boost for the offense. Despite him not playing all year and the other injuries, the Niners have been a top 5 offense. Can they win this tough road game? Tampa Bay hit a bump in the road. The Bucs have dropped three in a row and four of their last five games. They are missing their top two targets at receiver and didn’t make any moves before the deadline. Can Baker Mayfield pull off a miracle and guide them to the win before their bye week? The Niners should win this one easily. San Francisco Win 31-20

We have arguably the biggest game of the weekend. The Pittsburgh Steelers will head to Washington to battle the Commanders. This is a battle between two first place teams. Pittsburgh is riding a three game win streak and they’re averaging a little under 32 points in those games. The defense continues to be one of the best in the league. Ever since Russell Wilson became the starter the offense has improved. Will the addition of Mike Williams work in Pittsburgh? Washington is going all in by adding Marshon Lattimore to the team. Lattimore gives this secondary a little more edge and toughness. Jayden Daniels is one of my MVP favorites at the halfway point of the season. Can the Commanders pick up their biggest win thus far? I’m going with the Commanders to edge the Steelers. Washington Win 26-24

We have the Sunday Night game as the Detroit Lions head to Houston to face the Texans. The Detroit Lions are arguably the best team in the league. They rank first in scoring and tied for 5^th in scoring defense. Jared Goff is amongst the few that’s in the MVP conversation at the halfway mark. The addition of Za’Darius Smith makes this team much better. Can they make it seven in a row? Houston have dropped two of three and there has been concern for C.J. Stroud. Stroud is getting hit a lot and he’s missing two of his biggest weapons. Stephon Diggs tore his ACL and Nico Collins is trying to come back from his hamstring injury. Can the Texans get the win and build momentum? I’m still rolling with the Lions in this one. Detroit Win 30-24

We have the Monday Night game as the Miami Dolphins head to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Miami have dropped three in a row and six of their last seven games heading into Monday Night. The Dolphins were one of the favorites to challenge for the AFC East crown. They have dealt with a lot of injuries with the main one being Tua. Can the Dolphins start the second half of the season on the right foot? The Rams have won three in a row and now sit a half game back of Arizona in the NFC West. Los Angeles is starting to get healthy at the right time. Will the Rams make a run like the one they had last season? This should be a great game between two great quarterbacks. In the end, the Rams are the hotter team right now. Los Angeles Win 26-21
